Antoine Saut

Frenchman Antoine Saout made a lot of friends yesterday when he earned a spot in the November Nine, as he scored an extra $1m bonus for his fellow Everest Poker qualifiers.

See more update inside... He's 25 years old, playing his first-ever WSOP and just earned himself a spot in the vaunted November Nine.

How could Antoine Saout's summer get any better? By earning a $1 million bonus to share among the 51 other players who also qualified for the 2009 WSOP Main Event through Everest Poker.

As part of a promotion launched earlier this year, the massive bonus was promised to all of the Everest qualifiers if any one of them made the final table - a formidable task considering the starting field was made up of over 6,400 players.

Not only was the size of the field a monumental hurdle, Saout also spent most of the last three days sitting next to arguably the best player in the world, Phil Ivey.

Needless to say, Saout enjoyed unprecedented support from his fellow qualifiers as he neared the final table. And they'll all now reap the rewards with a $19,607 payout.

The native of Saint Martin des Champs, France, who qualified for the Main Event for just $50 on Everest, is now a guaranteed millionaire and one of only two non-American players at the final table.
