I wish that would have happened to Phil Hellmuth...it'd be an instant blow-up classic.
Royal flush is the same as a straight flush, its just the highest straight flush.
Mabuchi made the mistake of letting Philips see the turn. Now, granted Philips flopped the straight draw, and was coming along, but in reality if Mabuchi had gone all in after flop it is doubtful that Philips would have called. But again, Mabuchi was trying to get maximum value on his hand. Who on earth could put Philips on K-J of Diamonds..

Read more... But , I wouldn't have expected someone to have a Royal Flush. This man loses with 4 aces to a royal flush. The odds of this happening is 1 in 2.7 billion. ![]() WSOP 2008 final table, Scott Montgomery get possibly the worst beat ever at the hands of Peter Eastgate. Full house - triple 6 and pair aces.
